Honoring Your Loved One at the Presidio Chapel

A Sacred Site for Memorials, Funerals & Celebrations of Life

under constructionImportant Notice:

From January 2013 until further notice, the Presidio Chapel will be undergoing renovation and will not be available for weddings or other special events.

Presidio ChapelThe Main Post Chapel was built in 1931 by the U.S. 6th Army as an interfaith sanctuary. It served the military for 64 years as its primary Chapel in the Presidio of San Francisco. Now as a part of a national park and under the care of the Interfaith Center at the Presidio, this historic sanctuary continues to welcome all faith traditions and peoples to a unique and ideal site for celebration and ceremony.

Chapel and CemeteryA Beautiful Place

The Main Post Chapel offers privacy, convenience, and beauty for a service of remembrance. Set on a hillside, the Chapel enjoys sweeping views overlooking the bay, a garden, and a forest of eucalyptus, cypress and pine behind.

An historic military chapel set next to a National Cemetery is an ideal location for honoring a loved one, particularly for veterans and military families.

Inside SanctuaryThe Sanctuary
